The Center for Innovation and Incubation was founded at Chang Gung University in 2001. The center was set up to provide the early-stage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with guidance and supports at different stages of the business development process. We also built up a platform in our center for the incubated SMEs to collaborate with the academic entities.
In the “Asia Entrepreneurship Development Center (AEDC) Program”, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has funded the Innovation and Incubation Program nation wide since 1997. Therefore, the primary funding of this center mainly comes from the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The center provides high-quality incubation environments for the early-stage SMEs and for the SMEs that wish to develop new technologies or innovative business moldels with our faculty members. The incubated SMEs are provided with office space, regulatory information, R&D technology consulting, financial consulting, management consulting, education and other business services.
